March was an exciting month for the Indigenous Programs Team as the Job Ready Program travelled to Darwin for the first program of the year. The week long program held at Novotel Darwin CBD included special guest appearances by iconic AFL legends Kevin Sheedy and Michael Long. Despite being temporarily star struck, the motivated job seekers eagerly completed the program with five graduates successfully landing a role upon completion. Indigenous Employment and Support Specialist SEQ/NT, Glenys Grigson organised and facilitated the program with the support of Novotel Darwin’s General Manager, Craig Dodd. The next Job Ready Program is set to roll out in Kakadu this April.
